Susan Kasaic-O’Reilly

Susan brings dedication to her
studio that is reflected in the quality of her programs and facility. Her aim is to give all of her students
an enjoyable experience and sense of accomplishment at having done his or her best.
Susan grew up in Burlington, Ontario
where her dance training began. She completed all of her Canadian Dance Teachers Association (C.D.T.A.) exams in
jazz and tap from primary to elementary grades. Additionally, Susan learned the art of ballet in the Cecchetti
method. She completed her exams from primary to elementary in this discipline as well.
Susan
continued her training in a more competitive style. She excelled as a competitive dancer receiving numerous awards
including Jr. Miss Dance of Canada 1992, a scholarship to Kansas University Dance Program and was the recipient of several
scholarships for being the top solo finalist at many competitions.
Susan moved on to teaching in 1994. She is a full
member of P.A.E.C. (Performing Arts Educators of Canada) and has taught dance in the Toronto, Oakville and Waterloo areas.
Susan attended The National Ballet School Teacher Training Program.
Susan
has choreographed many award winning routines that have earned her performers many scholarships for outstanding
dancing. Susan has also won numerous awards for her choreography.
Susan believes that all children are blessed with creativity and love
to perform. She says that The Edge is about more than teaching children to dance. The
Edge is all about building self-esteem from within and developing the artist as an individual.
